"Being able to reserve seats online in advance for TITAN XC, Ward Stadium’s premium, large-screen auditorium, proved so popular with our guests, we decided to expand the amenity to our other auditoriums when we experience peak demand"

Consolidated Theatres, Hawai‘i’s premier cinema circuit, announced a new service today that will further enhance guests’ experience at the company’s popular Ward Stadium 16. The launch of the theatre’s reserved seating coincides with the release of one of this year’s most eagerly anticipated films, Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. The new amenity aims to make movie-going even more enjoyable and hassle-free by allowing avid movie-goers to reserve their seats in advance online at or in person at the box office.

“Being able to reserve seats online in advance for TITAN XC, Ward Stadium’s premium, large-screen auditorium, proved so popular with our guests, we decided to expand the amenity to our other auditoriums when we experience peak demand,” said Lindsey Chun-Hori, Consolidated Theatres’ events and promotions manager.

Chun-Hori added, “Once a guest has a reserved seat, he/she will not need to wait in lines or worry about rushing to their seats. During the holidays when everyone is trying to run errands, do their holiday shopping and spend time with the family, the option to leisurely arrive at Ward Stadium 16 and immediately enjoy a movie is a special treat.”

The reserved seating service will be offered during weekends and holidays, or when the demand to see a particular Hollywood blockbuster is very high.

In the summer of 2010, the seven day box office showing of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at the Ward Stadium 16 was one of the ten highest in North America. Anticipating similar demand at the theatre for Breaking Dawn – Part 1-- the next film in the Twilight Saga -- tickets and reserved seats will be available at or at the Box Office.

And preparing for the upcoming holiday blockbusters, Consolidated Theatres will make advance ticketing and reserved seating available for the following highly-anticipated films:

The Descendants (Opening November 23): The Descendants stars George Clooney, and is based on a novel by local author Kaui Hart Hemmings. It was filmed on Oahu and features local actors and music.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Opening December 21): Available in TITAN XC this action-packed fourth film in the popular series stars Tom Cruise.

Girl with a Dragon Tattoo (Opening December 23): The eagerly awaited remake of the international best-selling book and art house sensation stars Daniel Craig and is directed by David Fincher.
